Despite the increasing computerization of the design and analysis of today's structures, we have never lost sight of practical considerations, such as ease of construction and related economic benefits.
Our senior staff brings to every project extensive field experience in the construction process. We feel this practical experience enables us to prepare construction documents that can be executed economically and efficiently, while meeting the client's requirements. This approach ultimately offers the client a better value. Not only saving the client money, but also expediting the installation and benefiting the schedule.
The firm received the Honor Award for Engineering Excellence from the American Consulting Engineers Council of Metropolitan Washington. This was given for our work on the structural renovation and strengthening of a large retail shopping mall in Bethesda, Maryland. This project required raising 30,000 square feet of roof and strengthening 60,000 square feet of the third level structure for increased loadings. All of this work was performed while the mall remained in operation.
The firm has also completed projects that were given the award of excellence by the International Concrete Repair Institute. These projects were in the High-Rise Commercial Building and Parking Structure Categories.
