BakerHostetler - Washington, DC

This project required removal of a main building column to suit the desires of the client for a large unobstructed meeting space. The column was below the building mechanical yard and required careful coordination to provide the correct structural framing to support the roof slab and mechanical equipment on the roof. Our work included all structural design and the planning for the temporary jacking of the new double beams to transfer the load from the column to the new beams.
